IECRM COVID-19 Updates & Resources
Breaking News (July 16, 2020)-Governor Polis Announces Statewide Mask Order
Read the statewide mask order.
Dear IECRM Members and Partners,
The safety of our members and apprentices is, and always will be, our top priority. The dynamic nature of the Coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak requires us to be nimble and flexible in how we respond, provide member services and apprenticeship training, as well as protect our members and your employees.
IECRM is continually monitoring this rapidly changing situation, continuing to remain vigilant, and following recommended precautionary measures, protocols, and guidelines from various health organizations including the World Health Organization (WHO), U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), and local city and state authorities.
In order to provide you with the latest information about this crisis, we invite you to check our website for daily updates and to follow us on LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter. You can rely on us to be responsible, reasonable, and responsive.
Members are encouraged to join our Weekly Online Member Forums: COVID Impacts.
This live-online weekly session will be a facilitated discussion with key safety and business leaders to discuss and answer questions among participants regarding preparedness, response, and future planning amid the COVID-19 situation. This is an opportunity to share ideas, learn from others, and consider how we are doing as an industry during this unprecedented time. A Zoom link will be distributed to those who register prior to the start of the session. We hope you can join us!
Take everyday actions to protect yourself and those you love. The Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment has recommendations and resources for you here. We echo their guidance, especially by actively encouraging all of our staff, members and apprentices to stay home when sick, and migrating classes and some events to online. We appreciate your partnership in carefully responding to matters of public health.
Changes to Apprenticeship Training Program
Starting the week of March 23rd, ALL apprenticeship classes moved online. Our instructors have been trained to use the Classroom Management System (CMS) for online delivery and instruction; and students and their managers have received detailed information for accessing the online system.
Tutoring offered at the Northglenn Main Campus has been postponed until further notice. We will send out communication when we are able to offer it again.
Continuing Education Classes (CEUs)
IECRM will continue offering CEUs in order to meet the State of Colorado license renewal requirements. CEUs will move to a live-online format via Zoom until further notice. If you have already registered for a CEU or professional development course, please watch your email for messages from Londell@iecrm.org for updates on scheduling and movement of classes online. You may still register for CEUs at iecrm.org/ceus.
Meetings, Events, Activities
We have suspended face-to-face meetings except via virtual tools like Zoom. As such, we also are postponing the Summit Awards Banquet. This also includes deadlines for project and individual nominations for Summit Awards. A new date has yet to be determined. If you have already submitted a nomination, thank you! It will be safely held and judged along with all entries when a new deadline for submission is set. Additionally, the Safety Awards application and judging are postponed with new dates to be decided.
