Overview: Introduction to fall rescue training for construction will be held at no cost for members of Associtated Builders and Contractors Rocky Mountain Chapter (ABC), Independent Electrical Contractors Rocky Mountain Chapter and Southern Colorado Chapter, Hispanic Contractors of Colorado (IEC) and the Painting and Decorating Contractors of America (PDCA) in partnership with the Tri-Safety Group. This is a no cost event because of finanical support from Pinnacol Assurance and Colorado Safety Supply.
Training Elements: The fall rescue training will include a 45 minute classroom style training session with a 15 minute test, 10 minutes of mobilizing training participants from the classroom to the West Metro outdoor tower platform and 50 minutes of demonstration of using fall rescue equipment. The total time is estimated at 2 hours.
The training will include expert presentation, reading materials, vidoe/audio, actual fall rescue equipment solutions for hands-on training in both the classroom and demo of fall rescue equipment in use. The fall rescue assumes a victim has fallen in a personal arrest system while working at a height.

- Introduction to fall rescue
- Fall Rescue key terms
- Subject Material references from sources such as Capital Safety, OSHA and ANSI
- Reference photos of Equipment and video of actual rescues
- Demonstration of fall rescue equipment in both self rescue and assisted self rescue
- Site Specific plannining and considerations
- Documenting your fall rescue plan, samples will be provided to participant
Training Documentation: A binder will be provided by Pinnacol Assurance in partnership with Colorado Safety Supply that will give training participants resources to take back to thier place of business for implementing actual fall rescue plans in construction.
The Safety Committee is focused on making IECRM members and their employees aware of the importance of safety in the workplace through the dissemination of safety-related information and by offering safety training.
The Safety Forum provides members with workforce safety awareness, interview and judge safety award finalists, and works with regulatory agencies to provide updates and/or changes to safety policies, share resources and safety best practices. The IECRM Safety Committee is partnered with the ABC to provide some of the best knowledge and safety/training programs in the construction industry.
