As a Contractor Member of IECRM, you open up your business to countless benefits to enhance your business, including:

Members receive first access and best pricing (see Apprenticeship Training tab below) on apprenticeship training, continuing education, networking events, and more. Through special relationships with a wide variety of partners, IECRM offers members discounts on products and services needed to run a successful electrical contracting business.

IECRM is dedicated to elevating the workforce development of the energy and electrical industry and has developed initiatives to address the growing demand for workers. We help members recruit qualified workers through online job boards, advertising, school outreach, a vetted “Hire List” of candidates, short-term labor lending, and career fairs to meet job seekers face-to-face.

Our new and experienced hire lists are your first stop for recruiting. The hire lists consist of individuals interested in the electrical trade that have completed an intake process of an interview and math test, and IECRM students and alumni that are in between jobs.

IECRM is dedicated to the workforce development of the energy and electrical industry and has developed initiatives to support our members and address the growing demand for workers.

When your work is slow – or picking up – and you are not in a position to hire or lay off, contractors can borrow workers from each other as part of a short-term lending program through IECRM. We respectfully ask that you adhere to the core values of the association – Integrity, Competency, Respect, Service, and Collaboration – and refrain from recruiting employees from each other.

IECRM leads the country with the largest and most-acclaimed 4-year registered Apprenticeship Training Program. We follow the IEC National Curriculum. Learn more on the Apprenticeship page. Members save $250 per student per semester.

IECRM is a US Department of Labor (DOL) Office of Apprenticeship (OA) certified training provider. We provide benefits to companies engaged in Davis-Bacon prevailing wage work through the administration of the OA Program on your behalf.  This OA designation allows our member companies with employees in our IEC Apprenticeship School to bid on government projects with Davis-Bacon wage requirements on a tiered scale. This tiered scale allows you to provide wage and benefit estimates far below those listed as Davis-Bacon prevailing wages. This unique benefit of IECRM enables your company to provide a more competitive bid than other bidders.

OA appointments are now every Tuesday via Zoom from 2-5 p.m. Paperwork will be sent via email and can be filled out electronically.

IECRM Self-Pay Tuition Policy

Self-pay students who are employed with a member company must register and pay through the member company using the IECRM Flashpoint Enrollment Portal/Process in order to qualify for member rates.

Self-pay students that are employed with a member company but that do not register and pay through the member will be charged the non-member rate for tuition, books and applicable fees.

Self-pay students who are employed with a member company and require a payment plan will not qualify for the member rate and will be charged the non-member rate for tuition, books and applicable fees.

Self-pay students who do not work for a member company will continue to be charged the non-member rate for tuition, books and applicable fees.

To maximize association/membership benefits, ALL member companies are encouraged to register and pay for all enrolled apprentices utilizing internal payment arrangements and processes between employer and employee.

We value our IECRM members and apprentice community. We encourage all apprentices to be enrolled in the four-year apprenticeship program, earning, and learning their way toward Journeyworker licensure. We encourage all members to utilize the member discount for tuition, books and applicable fees to ensure the long-term support and success of the next-generation electrician.

(Payment Plans are available, please reference the Self Pay Payment Plan Policy.)

Self-Pay Payment Plan Policy

We offer the following arrangements for students that are unable to pay in full at the time of registration.

● Self-pay students will be charged the non-member rate.
● A 50% down payment of total semester tuition, books and applicable fees are due at registration.
● Remaining balance can be divided up to 3 additional monthly payments ($10.00 processing fee applies on each installment)
● All payments that are declined will incur a $20.00 NSF fee.
